Cat crapped on bed

Want to vomit. Second time this week. A steaming turd left on top of my beautiful John Lewis duvet on my bed this evening by my otherwise lovely cat.

🤦‍♀️

Any advice welcome to stop this grossness.

More litter trays and some feliway.

Has anything happened to unsettle your DCat? When we moved house our cat crapped on DD’s bed 😬 he had a covered litter tray but he didn’t like pooing under cover, so we took the top off and got two more trays. That, and/or the feliway plug in, seemed to solve it.

the cat is sending you a message by not using the litter box. Could be illness. Could be a dirty litter box. Could be stress.

it’s not so much your bed as it is that the height makes the cat feel safe and the bedding is soft.

we had a chronic problem with this and purchased 2 thick coverlets we could rotate on the bed and wash on the sanitary cycle as needed.

For this cat it was stress and she is now medicated and much happier all around. We knew there might be issues when we adopted her as the rescue picked us as a family that could deal with a cat they expected to have high-needs.
