We have such a fab 12yr old neutered Tom cat (adopted about 5yr ago). We’ve been accepted to adopt a (supposedly/hopefully) cat-friendly 2yr old female from an independent rescue (their adoption procedures seem really thorough and they took into account our current cat and worked to match us.)
While researching to work out how to make the introductions at home work though …. I’ve fallen down a rabbit hole of bad news and disaster stories.
Are there any success stories out there you could share?
Or should I just not rock the boat? Current cat is SO happy and content - will he be upset and hate us for bringing in a young ‘un?
I’m arranging to speak to the rescue again for further advice before proceeding.
Thanks!!
