We are a family with kids under 10 considering getting a dog.
We know very little about dogs, except my kids love them and we find we have space in our home and our hearts for a new companion.
Is it better to get a puppy or shall we rescue a dog? Looking at rescue centres, they tend to discourage families with young children so a bit confusing.
I would like a dog that is not too big and doesn't shed tons of hair. We have time to take the dog for a walk several times a day, and a garden. What sort of dog would work for us?
