After my fish all died (after I turned up the heater too high ) I didn't replace my fish for ages, I had one fish and a old pleco in there for ages, until the pleco died . I decided to spend my birthday money on some new fish. I did a 50% water change, cleaned the gravel, cycled the tank, checked the ph, and all the levels and everything was perfect and then brought new fish.
But the pleco I brought 2 weeks ago looks ill. Its head is like a greyish colour, and its skin appears to be shedding. I have googled and can't find anything. I thought that maybe he had burned his head on the heater (I have 2), but when I checked the heater that is just in the water with no guard isn't plugged in, so it can't be a burn because the other heater is covered. Unless he burned himself at the shop
Any ideas?
