Mixed breed lakeland and wire haired terrier advice

I'm getting a new mixed breed terrier in a couple of weeks, he will be 8 weeks old. I would appreciate experienced owners and breeders advice on the breed and best food for a puppy of this mix.

I've had dogs before but bigger breeds eg Dalmatian, Boxer Doberman mix. Just want to get off on the right foot.

Thanks in advance.

Is it a wire haired fox terrier? Appreciate yours is a mix but we have a smooth fox terrier and to his credit, he's absolutely amazing with kids /food. He's a total twat in other ways (doesn't like us sitting up late and basically comes in to stare at us so that we go to bed and he can have the sofa; isn't good with other dogs) but he is incredibly good with my sons, one of whom I had after we'd already had the dog and he was never a bother with the baby. He won't touch their food or leftovers on the floor. We've friends' kids who are scared of dogs but after a visit to ours, ends up stroking his ears. So they are excellent family dogs.
All of which isn't helpful if he's not a fox terrier! But I thought I'd ask

Thanks Neighneigh yes wire haired fox terrier but he has the colouring of a lakeland ie black and tan. Not sure how he will end up. Yours sound like a character ! My last dog Dalmatian only got on with one dog , my sisters dog, otherwise he was a total thug. Lol. But he was great with every human old and young. I'm intending to get him as socialised as possible so fingers crossed he ends up a good boy. Fingers crossed. Any suggestions on good puppy food ?
