Hi all. What is the best way to find a dog sitter?

Kennels, home boarding including overnights, or daycare?

Asking round is usually the best bet. I find that vets usually duck the question, but owners of grooming parlours are often very helpful. Also ask other dog owners you see when out walking, including (or should that be 'especially') professional walkers who will know who offers what in their area (and who has spaces, many are full as dog ownership expanded so much in 20-21)

Otherwise it'll have to be google or local FB pages

Vet surgeries, sometimes groomers, recommendations, be sure they are fully insured and will they send you updates, what happens in an emergency? I would personally have a trial run of a night or two.

We use Holidays4dogs for home boarding and they have been brilliant.

A sitter in your own home? Most dog walkers offer it but it won't be cheap.
