Does anyone have a kitten/cat who does NOT sleep on their bed? Also question about LEATHER sofas.

And how likely is it that a 5 month cat we're getting wont sleep on ours?
He has a bed (that hooks on to a radiator ) that he loves. Its coming with him. He sleeps in that in the day but at night he sleeps with his mum, upstairs. When he's here he wont be able to sleep with her.

Also will he scratch our leather sofas?? He doesn't scratch the leather ones where he lives now btw. Just wondered if these will be 'new' attractive sofas for him to scratch.

Oh and lastly how much do flu jabs cost??

TIA

That cartoon is brilliant! My childhood cat used to try waking you up by kneading, purring, brushing cheeks... and if you were still trying to sleep, she'd pat your eyelid. If you dared to ignore that the claws would come out, just a tiny bit but so you knew they were there... I never found out what the next step would have been as I always gave up at that point.

our two mogs sleep in the utility room- if we have them up on the bed (a mistake i have only made a few times!) they stick their arses in our faces and pounce on toes twas cute to start with but by 3 am when we'd had no sleep it had well and truely lost its appeal

the only way to keep mine off the bed is to close the door. in fairness to him he's slept with in mine since I got him and only stopped when DH came along (DH a bit allergic and not enough space - cats are like babies: tiny but they manage to push you out). we lock him and the dog in the kitchen at night and thankfully he doesn't scratch or miaow. as soon as he has his breakfast though is up on our bed for a 'proper' sleep.

Well last night he came up and down the stairs a few times.
I took him down and he came back up! He sat on the landing but when I did a wee he came in our room. I took him down again!
At 2 am I found ds playing with him. Ds had done a wee and Timmy had found him
The kitchen door doesn't shut properly. Dh is fixing it tonight so he can't come out.

He's pooed in the litter tray, so thats good.

The dc LOVE him!

Dh had said his head is itching though I hope he's not allergic. Actually I'd better check for nits. Ds's school has them.
