Just given my hamster a dish of new food and he is burrowing under the sawdust. He usually covers the dish with it and when I cleaned him out on Monday I found loads of food in his bed.

Not sure whether to give himnew food every day now.

Tis what hamsters do. They stuff their cheek pouches with food and take it back to bed with them so they can snack at their leisure. Feed him every other day and clean him out regularly so it doesn't rot

He is a sensitve little soul. When I couldn't get the grey bedding I used white and he threw it all out in disgust. I had to go out and find more grey! Much more expensive and I don't like the dust it gives off.

Try putting a cut up duster/old sock or baby vest in there. Ours used to love it
