We havea Norwegian forest boy cat who is neutered hes an outdoor cat, comes in when hungry and sleeps in the house, hes very fluffy and nevrr had issues with his fur before he does come in with twigs stuck in his tail and leaves etc he gets brushed but of late i spotted a few little knots of fur here and there that were just falling off, last week i went to stroke him and felt a few matts close to skin, ita happened quite quick, I have tried to brush them out but he loses patience with me, the skin doesn't look sore around the matts, he is eating drinking, acting his silly self I have no idea what this is about im so worried about him, he bloody hates the vets as all cats do im sure if i took him toa groomer they would say to shave him but that has to be under sedation that scares me but brushing doesnt seem to help, anyone else suffered this with thier fur baby? :(
