AIBU to think dog owners shouldn’t do this?

I live in a pedestrianised street and local dog owners let their dogs off the lead whilst walking along it. Most gardens have low fences but some have a row of bricks separating the path & the houses grass front . Obviously the dogs need to answer the call of nature and wee & poo in peoples gardens. Some owners stand & watch their dog do it without trying to get them back to the path, some stare at their phones & are oblivious. I’m not a dog owner so I don’t know if this is deemed as normal behaviour to let your dog poo in other peoples property even if it’s cleaned up?

That’s not normal at all.

Onandupw · 15/08/2022 18:16

Of course that’s wrong

The diagram?

No it’s not normal but they’re are so many entitled dog owners out there that believe they can let them do anything, regardless of whose property it is.

Because I assume a fence would solve the problem, but not sure without knowing the layout.

I think it's fine (not a dog owner). All sorts of animals wee and poo in those gardens everyday. Why not a dog?

I am a dog owner and no way would I let my dog poo/wee in someone's front garden! I don't even let him walk onto a driveway.

The diagram?

Why on earth do you need a diagram?

LadyCatStark · 15/08/2022 18:53

I don’t think it’s normal at all to let your dog walk along a pavement without a lead on and wee and poo on people’s gardens and I do have a dog.

I took the liberty of drawing a diagram for the PP that wanted one.
