Can you report someone without an address?

Someone I know through other people is advertising a 6 week old kitten for sale on Facebook.

Our mutual contact has previously told me that this person refuses to get their outside cat neutered and therefore it keeps getting pregnant. That on it's own makes me livid, but now seeing they are actively trying to sell a 6 week old kitten is too much. All the advice I've read says at least 8 weeks, but from 12 weeks is more preferential.

I can't guarantee that this kitten is from a mother who is allowed to breed frequently, but I feel like it would be better if someone looked into it. However, I don't know where this person lives, only their name and there's not really any way of me to find out. Unfortunately this family and those mutual contacts all have very different ideas on animal welfare to me - they think nothing of getting pets until they aren't convenient then ditching them for something else - so they would not be supportive if I explained why I wanted an address.

What should I do, if anything, in this situation?

Contact them, say you are interested in the kitten and ask their address to view it? Although I don’t think being a crappy, irresponsible owner who doesn’t neuter is something anyone will look into tbh, or selling the kittens young. The RSPCA don’t get involved if they have food, water and some sort of shelter it seems.
It wouldn’t be too much of a shame though if someone saw a poor overbred cat on the street and took it to cats protection because, you know, the poor homeless stray looked in need of a loving home Wink

Selling it under age puppies and kittens is a trading standards issue, but I suspect they would need an address.
