has anybody else's dc got triops

Hi

My sil bought my son a triops kit for his birthday where you put the eggs into water and they hatch and then double in size every day.

They are a form of crustacean but I think they are vile looking creatures, does anybody else have them and what do you think of them.

My daughter has a pack to do.
Thought we might set it all up at the weekend.
How long did it take for them to hatch?

They hatched in about 3 days and were just little white things bobbing around in the water at first.

Now they are about 2 inches long and you can make out everything we have only got two thought we might get more.

They say you can get other creaures that hatch with them as well but we only got the two triops.

They are fascinating but a bit creepy looking they look as though they have loads of legs.

They seem to love digging in the sand that you get with them.

Well if you like creepy crawlies they are ok but when they grow they are quite horrible IMO! one of ours was much bigger than the others and a real bully and I hated it/him

Thats just it I hate creepy crawlies and yes they are quite disgusting looking.
I have noticed that the bigger of the two seems to push the other one around a bit.

I also found once they had hatched, dcs weren't in the slightest bit interested in them. They lasted for ages and I just wanted them to die

Know what you mean lol, me and my dp are more interested in them than my ds.

They are only supposed to last 6 weeks so I hope I am not in for a long wait.
