my cat has got lymphoma anyone experienced this before?

My cat is only 2.6 and he was diagnosed yesterday as having lymphoma and i am very very upset. The vet has given him some steroids but has said these may only give him an extra 4-6 months has anyone else had a cat with this and is there anything else i can do?

Oh no!!! No advice, but just support. That is really sad.

Thankyou, im just pleased he has started to respond to the tablets otherwise i was told that would be it. He may only be a cat but he is my baby and there is a chance that his brother, whom i also have, may get it so i might have to go through this twice.

I would be gutted too. Poor little thing. Is he feeling poorly?
