Was thinking of him off and on over past weeks - is he ok ?

Sorry - haven't been on mumsnet for ages. Thank you so much for your concern - he is still here and although coughing for all 7 continents at night, very chipper in the day. The medication he's on makes him a little incontinent which is a bore but we would rather mop up wee than not have him around.

I think if he goes off his food and/or stops chasing his tail on a daily basis, then I will go into meltdown again. Vet said that he probably won't die of a heart attack or slip away in his sleep but that we will probably have to decide when we think he's ready to go. THAT is the bit that I dread.
