We have a 14 week old kitten. We took him from a lovely home where they swore by a lifetime of feeding their cats steamed fish and rice (all had lived to 20 without illness). They were giving their litter of kittens this, then also Rosie's Farm, Lily's Kitchen wet and Scrumbles dry mixed in. Our finances have taken a nose dive so just can't afford to spend £2.50 ++ per day on cat food, and as such I've gradually introduced the kitten to being partly fed on the above, but also felix kitten, then owing to dreadful farts, also bog standard tesco / sainsbury's kitten food. I wondered if anyone could give any tips on how to proceed with reduced finances but a dream to feed the cat well. Us humans have also given up certain versions of food I felt were healthier so we're all eating less well. The kitten is well loved and will be allowed outside so I hope might get the occasional mouse. Will also grow cat grass for him.
What is everyone spending daily on their kitten food and what are you feeding - q directed especially at those on a tight budget. Kitten seems fairly non plussed by his dry food, which Daddy isn't so happy about given the delightful new smells in our home!
Thanks so much
