Christmassy name for puppy?

We've just bought a Yorkshire Terrier puppy. She was born on Christmas Eve and her current name is Mary. It's a lovely name but I know a Mary and she might not appreciate us calling our dog the same name. We'd like to give her an equally Christmassy name but have run out of ideas. So far we've come up with...

Holly (Favourite so far)
Eve
Carol (Hmm, not very doggy is it)

We don't collect her until the 16th of February but the Mum's owner has asked what we'll be calling her so she can get used to her new name now. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

Thanks in advance

Hello again,

Happy New Year to you all!

Thanks for all your ideas. Had a giggle at the thought of my dp standing in the garden/park shouting "Come on Mary Mother Of God, there's a good girl."

Lots of lovely names suggested but I think I still like Holly best. I'll run the other names past my friends and see what they think though.

Thanks again and I'll put a photo of "Mary Mother Of God" in my profile when she comes to live with us.

I do like Holly a lot. You could always merge the names and call her Molly . That was the name of our dog.

One of the girls I work with has just adopted a puppy found abandoned on Christmas day and called her Berry. She is just sooooooo cute!

used to have a cat called Jesus. because he slept in the hay when he was a kitten (!) v embarrasing calling that out the back door! Also Christmassy in a blasphemous sort of way.

We collected our dog in between xmas and new year 4 years ago and we called her angel. Holly is also nice.

An old friend of mine called her kitten Harbinger of Ultimate Doom, so I think Mary Mother of God is mild by comparison! Go for it, I dare you

Ummm...best I can think of are Bell or Reindeer

My pet yorkie was so fearless he took on an Alsation (trained police dog) who shook him to death . That was New Years Eve a few years ago, his name was Pip and he was gorgeous.

I like Berry too, and tinsel. I'm not keen on human names for pets.
