Footballer animal cruelty

I have just watched the video of a famous footballer kicking and clapping his pet cat.

He claims it was an isolated incident - I find this hard to believe. His brother was filming it giggling.

Clearly animal cruelty is common in this household.

Horrible, horrible people.

I hope he is properly punished for this. He is clearly a monster who should be banned from keeping animals.

An RSPCA statement said: "Following a full and thorough investigation, we have started the process of bringing a prosecution against Kurt Zouma and Yoan Zouma under the Animal Welfare Act.

"The two cats continue to be cared for by the RSPCA. We will be in a position to release more information once a court date is confirmed."

Wow this is horrible

IncompleteSenten · 23/05/2022 15:11

Glad to hear they didn't get it swept under the carpet.

I hope this is widely reported.

these men are role models to lots of children. It need to be clear that making ‘funny’ videos of animals being hurt isnt acceptable.

I understand neither of them has pleaded guilty to all the charges against them:
two out of three in KZ's case and one out of two in YZ's case. More details should be available shortly.

TheOnlyMrsMac · 24/05/2022 12:17

Actually, that was just KZ under those umbrellas, hired muscle and hood. I have more respect for YZ, who walked to court with his solicitor and faced the cameras.

I don't understand the whole hide on your way into court thing.

People know what he looks like. They know who he is. What's the point?

TheOnlyMrsMac · 24/05/2022 12:31

Even one of the reporters was heard to exclaim 'why have they bloody done that?'

It just looked ridiculous, heavy-handed and unseemly, with one of the umbrellas getting mangled and the heavies pushing cameramen out of the way.

If that was KZ playing the big star and West Ham protecting their assets, they have done more damage to their image.

Meanwhile, YZ was left to walk to court unprotected and face the music and he has come out of that looking the better man.

Nice to see the cats looking safe and well now:

Please note, not yet available for rehoming and then best-suited to an experienced, Bengals-enthusiast home!
