Do you have Speaking Parrot In your home?

Anyone have speaking parrot in your home. How do you keep your parrot, because in my home, Now I care one green parrot. I wants to make that parrot speak. So please share your experience.

No parrot but I've inherited a budgie, it says a couple of phrases, really funny when you hear it speak, it also copies whistling.
I keep speaking and whistling to the budgie, repeating the same phrase and it repeats them eventually, it takes time though.
Also, it waits until I walk away before it speaks or waits until my backs turned.

Not all pet birds will speak, no matter what you try. However most will imitate certain sounds or learn tunes.

@Jayaywhynot budgies are a joy!! I also inherited mine and he lived until the very grand old age of 17!

Yeah, Mine is Indian Ring Neck Parrot, I try to speak that parrot and I also eager to expect some reply from my pet.

If that's your bird in the picture you have an alexandrine not a ringneck.
