Online vet prescription

We've had to cancel our dog's insurance as she has a longterm condition and it was getting more expensive to pay for insurance than to manage the condition ourselves. Our vet is happy to give me prescriptions to fill online. Can anyone recommend a reliable online prescription service? I've never done this before so have no idea what I'm even looking for?

Can't recommend an online pet pharmacy as not used one yet but will be watching with interest as we need to find one too.

We don't have a prescription yet - could I ask how much people are paying for a private prescription from the vets please?

I've used weldricks very reliable with competitive prices. If it's not controlled medication you can upload photo of vet prescription otherwise is a freepost option. Its useful if any are Human drugs like gabapentin as human & vet pharmacy.

I think our vets charge £16 for prescription but it has repeats.

Private prescription fees are generally around £15.

The online pharmacies most of my clients use are animed, viovet and pet counter, all of which seem fine.

There do seem to have been a few supply issues this year with some veterinary medications so occasionally you have to shop around if things are out of stock - I think that’s more a manufacturing/import issue than a fault of the pharmacies though.

I've used Pet drugs online and also Animed - both were totally fine, but do make sure that the prescription say EXACTLY what is on the order you have. For instance, I've had a prescription refused because I had 2 prescriptions making up the total instead of being on 1 (vet mucked up) They couldn't accept 1 script for 11 items and 1 for 1 item when ordering 12!

Petdrugsonline or Viovet are both good but IME PetDrugsOnline is much quicker.

We use 'Pet Drugs Online' and have never had any issues. Great service.
