Cat overproducing saliva

I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this - my cat has become more of a dribbler over the years however in the last week I have noticed her dribbling A LOT. And her fur to the touch is feeling quite crusty so I'm concerned something is going on in her saliva that is not right. She is also seeming a little down and not herself.

I'm going to phone the vet tomorrow but just wanted to reach out and see if anyone had experienced this?

We recently moved and for this month are staying with a friend of mine who has cats. She is already out and about outside exploring the area and started off very confident and unphased by the change of scenery. I just wonder if she could have picked something up off the other cats?

Our cat was like this. It was a dental issue. Start saving...

I hope she recovers Smile

It's probably a gum or tooth problem. Expensive.
