House training query

New puppy, 14 weeks old, is already going overnight in his crate with no accidents.

So should I still be taking him out to pee after every feed, sleep etc, or will that encourage him to have a small bladder?

He had a massive pee this morning, then just little ones every time he's been out since.

I give him a tiny sliver of cheese when he goes, and he seems to have got the ides very quickly.

It helped that he was mostly house trained when I got him, but he was also using paper indoors then, whiuch he hasnt seemed to want to do since he came here.

Any thoughts?

sounds like your puppy is doing really well.

Although he is overnighting justfine, I would continue to take him out for a wee at regular moments in the day. You can try spacing a few hours between each trip outside and see how he does.

does he go on a bit of paper? if so - slowly move the paper to the door; he will then learn to go to the door when he needs to be let out as and when he needs.

His breeder had him paper trained, but he didnt seem to take any notice of the paper I put down here. He hasnt had any accidents today (so far!) but I have to have eyes in the back of my head to keep looking for signs that he wants to go out - sniffing around, going to squat etc.
