We moved into a new build in Feb and the garden is far from landscaped. We actually believe the ground to be somewhat contaminated or infected as the grass is dying & slime like moss is now started to grow on the balding parts. This is now being investigated by the developer in the next few weeks.

We brought our puppy home in March/April. He's almost 7 months and the last 2-3 weeks every few days he is having a dodgy tummy. Nothing in his diet or routine has changed. Last night he had me up every 90 minutes to let him out and today, not eaten any of his food. Getting him to drink water has been difficulty even with milk mixed in so much so, I've an out of ours vets appointment at 11:45PM tonight as he's very tired/sad looking

We have however, on inspecting the grass to hose down the water diarrhoea tonight found loads of these mushrooms now growing! Puppy eats the grass, always has despite our attempts to stops so I'm thinking the likely cause of the belly upset are these mushrooms.

I've downloaded a garden identifier but it said it's basically a mushroom and there's over 300 types. Some of which are poisonous and others aren't - so helpful Grin

Anyone got any idea or know any tricks to help puppy get back to himself before we take a midnight trip to the vets?

Mushrooms aren't great for dogs and toadstools are very dangerous. We saw these this week and mowed the lawn short.

I'm a vet nurse. Mushrooms are toxic to dogs.
Please call your vet and him in.

@FlamingGoat He's a lot better! I took him to the vet hospital on Tuesday and he was given antibiotics as well as a acid settler course too. The vet couldn't say for sure if it was the garden but we've limited his free time out there so he can't be trying to eat anything he shouldn't. He's now almost back to his energy-full self
