Fleas on cat

Hi I wonder if any has any suggestions. I think it might be the heat but I can’t get rid of fleas from the cat. I treat him with the drops that go on the back of the neck. I use a pdsa flea spray for the house but my son has a few bites on him. I hoover all the time but I’m now keeping the cat in the kitchen as I don’t want a infestation. What does everyone else use that actually works. Thank you

The only flea spray (for the house) I've ever found that actually works is the £20 a tin stuff from the vet. Absolutely obliterates them, and their eggs.

As for the cat itself, comb, comb, comb, comb. Daily and thoroughly until you reach a point you're not getting live fleas or eggs on the comb.

Good luck!

Indorex for fleas in the house
Not all spot on treatments work well. Is yours from the vet?

Indorex for the house.

Either flea spot on from the vet or Advantage spot on which can be bought without a prescription.

Frontline and anything else with Fipronil will almost certainly not work. Avoid anything made by Bob Martin.

You must de-flea your cat monthly to prevent fleas.

Thank you I will get try indorex. Yes the spot treatment is from the vets but isn’t working this year it has in the past so assuming it’s the heat. I do comb him but then The fleas jump off. Has anyone used like the combs that zap the fleas. Thank you for your suggestions

My vet dispenses Stronghold which seems effective.
Give the rooms a good treatment with indorex. That should sort out any reservoirs of eggs in soft materials

I won't use anything but a tablet from the vets once a month , put a flea collar in your hoover bag and under sofa pillows ect x
