Dogs bum

My cockepoo has been sitting on the floor rubbing her bum like they do when they have a dirty bum . But her bum is clean and no sign of external soreness . I Took her to the vet yesterday who stuck his finger up and pronounced nothing wrong and offered no explanation for why she might be doing this . I've got her booked into groomer next week for a haircut in case she's just hot - has anyone else come across this before? She's doing it a lot - and usually hardly ever does it so definitely out of character for her .

Do you mean the vet checked her anal glands and said they didn't need emptying? That's the most common cause of dragging bum.

Mine does that when her glands are full so I have to empty them but that’s a basic thing the vet should have picked up and if it’s not her glands it’s more than likely because her hair is growing back so see how you go after the groom and that should sort it! Actually Is she regularly wormed? That can cause them to rub and drag themselves around too! If shes wormed I would definitely say hair growing back 👍

Yes the vet poked his finger up and said her glands were ok . I will have a look and see if maybe her hair is irritating her . Yes al. Wormed too ,

When was she last wormed?

Just double checking on the worming in case we've misssd one -thanks again

Allergies are a hugely common cause of bum rubbing particularly in cockerpoos.
