So why does my cat insist on pissing in my attic room?

OUr attic is converted into a bedroom. It is rarely used, only as a guest room, but I store bedding and stuff up there. The door is normally clsoed and cat only goes up if me or dh go up there.

Every time we go up there she comes in and pisses somewhere

She does it no where else, just in this room.

Any ideas?

No real advice, just think yourself lucky it's only this one room - one of our cats is pissing everywhere atm and I have no idea how to stop her.

Since it's only one room you could try one of the Feliway plug ins, or just shoo her out of the room when you do use it [bleedin obvious emoticon].

It's awful isn't it?

I wonder why they do it?..............

mine's doing it in our bathroom. I think she's doing it to get her own back as i ran her over (the £900 vets fees were enough!) - I'll do a better job next time

I think they start doing it when they're stressed, but not being the brightest of creatures they're difficult to train out of it. I'm bloody sick of it tbh, thought having pets was supposed to be rewarding in some way

Loler - no wonder your cat is stressed but I did LOL at you wishing you'd done a better job
