Cat Flu? Negligent Breeder

First Time posting. Took my 2 month old kitten for her first vet check up today. Upon enquiring about my kitten the breeder told me she was healthy and that she had been flead and wormed. She said she was 8 weeks old which she is not (She is 2 months and 10 days) immediately upon arrival without any chat she pulled up with her husband in an expensive Jaguar, took the money from me handed her over and left. She did not check up on the kitten or contact me again at all. I had paid £300 on ammentities she needed this month before our first vet appointment to ensure her safety and wellbeing. I wanted to make sure she had all of her vaccines done before I even thought about letting her out where she could catch FIV, Cat Flu etc.

I live alone with no other cats and the kitten has never been outside in contact with other cats.
I noticed this week that she was having a runny nose and sneezing, so I asked the vet what could be the cause? She confirmed that it is cat flu.

She said to bring her back in a week if the sneezing or runny nose continues to get worse.
I was angry. I had questions as to how she contracted the virus. The reason I wanted to get her vaccines done ASAP was to avoid any long term complications. She may now face a lifetime of needing antibiotics and special care.

I contacted the breeder telling her what the vet had told me and I explained the situation to find out the dates of the vaccines. She had no remorse or interest for the fact the cat is now infected. After 10 minutes of talking I knew she lied about having her Mother cat vaccinated. None of her cats are vaccinated up to date. She put the phone down on me and said "I need to drive now"

I asked for advice from the r/catadvice just got attacked. For what? Taking a cat in and caring for it. People can be very unsupportive and cold. I'm really upset about the whole thing and I just hope that my cat will be okay.

Has anyone had experience with cat flu or their cats lived happy healthy lives?

I've had several with flu, all farm rescues except two who came from a "rescuer" who was anything but. Some had runny noses and eyes their entire lives, others were fine once recovered and the severity of their initial flu didn't indicate which ones would have problems later. They mostly lived till their late teens too, the ones who didn't had other issues too.

I hope your kitten recovers quickly, and will be ok once she's over it. The breeder should be ashamed but I don't suppose they care. Poor little kitten, she's better being away from that person.

However, I'll bang my usual drum - if you get a cat or kitten from a decent rescue you know you're getting vaccinated cats (or a voucher for vaccs), neutering voucher, and a proper health check. A decent rescue won't rehome a sick kitten and, if they do come down with something, will work with you. This is one reason why I will always, always tell people to rescue not buy from a breeder. While there are cats in rescues, nobody should be buying from a breeder. It can also work out cheaper to pay the adoption fee than pay for a "cheap" kitten off the internet.

It's not a Persian kitten is it. Watchdog did a piece on a dodgy breeder called lizzie.
