Kitten advice

Hi all, I have a 1 year old cat and I have introduced a 10 week old kitten into our home. Done everything slowly and followed advice but when my older cat tries to play the kitten cries and meows and I don't know what to do. He does it before my older cat touches him so can't be hurting. Help appreciated! TIA

Are you sure the kitten isn't encouraging play? Our boys make the most awful noises when they play but it's usually the instigator of the game who makes the worst noises.

It doesn't sound problematic to me?
