Evening everyone

I am looking for some advice. We have a spaniel called Buddy who is now 4 years and although he is extremely excitable, he is starting to calm a little Smile

We have just rescued a rabbit and hope that Buddy and Nibbles will become friends over time.

I would love to hear stories from others who have introduced their dogs to a pet rabbit 🐰 🐶

Rabbits are naturally prey animals, and know full well that dogs are predators. Your rabbit will not enjoy this, and could end up with stress induced health problems - gut stasis for instance - even if there's no direct injuries.

They forgot to inform our rabbit that it was a prey animal.

In a very long and eventful life she (proudly) fought off a fox one night and frightened a workman out of our garden with its aggressive rushes - and some growling.

She got on well with our dog - though the dog was occasionally trapped by it and was always very cautious to keep tail out of her range.

my childhood dog and rabbit used to lay down next to each other in the sun. I have a dog with a very high prey drive now so can never get another animal (that isn't a dog)
