Can anyone recommend a labrador breeder please?

OK - bit of a long shot, but I thought that someone here may be able to recommend a breeder. We're not looking for a working dog, or a show dog, just a healthy, happy lab who's been reared with kids (and whose parents are hip scored, eye checked etc.).

Can anyone help please? We are a nice dog owning family

Where do you live and where would you travel to?

chonky · 05/11/2007 22:44

We're in Glos. Happy to travel a fair distance for the right breeder/ pup.

Ok - I've got a friend who is an RSPCA Inspector and he keeps a list of breeders that are registered and he actually lives in Cirencester so I'll text him tomorrow and let you know - ok?

If you go to the kennel club website and search for a puppy , they have a puppy sales register. These breeders have to stick to certain rules to be on the list and they have quite a few labrador breeders. Hope this helps.

you could also try local gamekeepers, they often breed labs ,plus these dogs are bred for temperament and general health ,we got ours from gamekeepers and both lived to be over 15 without any health problems and were fantastic happy dogs

That would be fabulous Malo. Your friend is not a million miles away from us.
