JeremyVile · 05/11/2007 16:14

Cappuccino · 05/11/2007 16:14

if they had eaten it would there be - boak - remains?

what on earth do I tell dd? "your fish are eating each other"

How can I tell her not to pull her sister's top again after that display of animal behaviour?

oh CHRIST

I thought fish were safe

we have avoided pets for years on grounds of dh's asthma

we hate animals but she begged and pleaded so

I hate dead animals the very thought of them, I have always told dh if he dies I can do without the sex, the housework, the gardening, the conversation, but I'll have to pay a man to come and check the lawn for bird/mouse/frog corpses every morning before I put the washing out

oh god oh god oh god oh god

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 05/11/2007 16:18

fio are you listening

no cats

oh god no they are evil little fecks

also they die, but in a larger and furry way

I hate pets

in fact it took a while to reread this thread becasue Pets was one of my ignored threads

good good they are eating one another in my own home

Had trouble with a sucking loach recently helping itself to big chunks of DD's goldfish. Truly horrible. But I must admit the bodies didn't disappear - wish they had 'cos it was most unpleasant retreiving the little corpses.

I will never view fish in the same light again!

Cappuccino · 05/11/2007 16:24

I have just rung dh he said it is 'quite amusing'

OP posts:
Cappuccino · 05/11/2007 16:25

is this because we forgot to feed them the other night?

do I have to blame myself?

the woman in the shop said it was ok to miss a night now and again

OP posts:
OrmIrian · 05/11/2007 16:28

Noo. You should miss a night regularly. Most fish suffer from over-feeding.

Cappuccino · 05/11/2007 16:29

I bet they do if they are eating each other

oh I am quite distressed by the whole thing. Why isn't there any bloody whisky in the house?

OP posts:
OrmIrian · 05/11/2007 16:32

Yes 'cos then you could put some whisky in the tank. That might mellow them out. Alternatively it might make them punchy.

auntiebetty · 05/11/2007 16:45

don't panic when we've had one missing it usually turns up (albeit dead) in the middle of the foliage. Not much help really

Cappuccino · 05/11/2007 20:06

got no foliage

minimalist (ie too small and cheap) fishtank

there is nowhere for it to hide

WriggleJiggle · 06/11/2007 22:12

Definately eaten.

BroccoliSpears · 06/11/2007 22:18

My brother had some fish a couple of years ago. He swore blind that every morning the big brown one went missing and reappeared that evening. Like it was going out to work or something.
