They are in a big outside hutch with a blanket over it...neighbours not having any fireworks parties or anything but wondered if they would still get freaked out?

I was helping out at school this morning doing guided reading, one boy was reading about Guinea Pigs and it said that they don't like rain or loud noises (with a picture of fireworks). How did they get on during the weekend - did you have a lot of fireworks going on around you???? I think I would keep them inside, my poor cat is terrified and knows not to go out.

They seemed okay over the weekend, difficult to tell though. It's difficult for me to carry the hutch inside on my own so I'd have to get my neighbour to help

I would bring them in for the evening. Piggies are ever such sensitive things. Have you a cardboard/plastic box you can use as temporary accommodation?

YES definitely!!!!!

They can die of shock.

They are still alive today... I covered their hutch with a thick blanket and gave them lots of hay...
