Border terrier

I have a border terrier of 5 months who has a problem as one of his testicles has descended and the other one hasn't.
His brother has the same problem.
At the moment we are being urged to have him castrated.
Has anybody else experienced this problem with Border terrier's.

We had this with ours and eventually the vet did the op anyway. He had to root around for the un-descended one a bit (I think he made another incision) but the surgery went well and the dog recovered as you’d expect. Didn’t stop the barking though! 😀
