From my experience of our dear departed bunny, she would have eaten it. She ate everything else I ever put in her hutch, except for her guinea-pig companion.

I agree with RB, My bunny has even (half) eaten his wooden shelter in his run!

He's now in his hutch, I am buying a 'hutch hugger' for it - I think like a horse rug for your hutch (front is ventilated clear plastic).

sorry don't know about the hot wter bottles, but have you got a shed? we just moved our rabbits into the shed for the winter and they seem to cope ok with lots of hay and just snugle up to each other to keep warm

lisalisa, I'm glad you have found the hutch snugglers - can't put ours in the shed either due a) to excessive petrol fumes from ride on/chainsaws/brushcutters etc and b) the DCs aren't allowed in there due to the former.

It was a pleasure to be of assistance, despite the fact it is your fault that my new Au Pair thinks I'm seriously bonkers. She was in the room next to my office when I read the thread about your recent, erm, dilemma
