2 questions about rabbits - one gross and weird (maybe)

First - how do you tell if your girl bunny is up duffed? I think ours is. Her husband died last week - we think he was poisoned.

Second question is - is it weird and gross of me to have left boy bunny under his favourite tree to decompose naturally and then to let the chickens eat the maggots?

female rabbits will usually pull their hair out on their bellies to make a nest when they are pregnant - that might be a clue, prob best to ask a vet tho.

Ok well, he wasn't actually buried because I don't have a spade so I convinced myself that this au naturel - giving the soil nutrients thing was a good idea. The children weren't freaked by it so am hoping I am not mad.

I'd be careful if you think he was poisoned. Some poisons could be taken in by the maggots and passed on to the chickens, wouldn't want your chickens to get ill too. Could you borrow a spade?
