Can someone outline puppy vaccines please? I get a 6week BC pup on friday and I don't know about his vaccines and when they're due? I think he'll have had his first one before he arrives? But I don't know? He turns 6 weeks on the friday we get him.

He is too young to leave his mother is the first thing I would tell you. I got my lab at 15 weeks and she is in pup (hopefully) and I will not let the pups leave her until they are about 12 weeks old.

I think they get their first jabs at 8 weeks.

Six weeks is far too young for a pup to be leaving its mother. You should not take a pup before 8 weeks old at the minimum.

When we got our puppy, she was unvaccinated at 4 months old. We just took her to the vet the next day. The vaccinations were done in two batches, a week apart. It was a further week before she could mix with other dogs.

The other thing to consider is the requirements of boarding kennels, if you need to leave your dog when you go on holiday. Kennel cough is a vaccine that is required for kennels, but not given as a standard puppy vaccine.
