Dog and cat both PTS today

Dog had suspected lymphoma (couldn't definitively diagnose without being intrusive) and lost the ability to walk one hour before cat was booked in to be PTS due to end stage renal failure so I ended up taking both to be done at the same time.

I'm cycling between disbelief and hysterical crying.

This is surreal.

Bob was a labarador retriever and 11 years old and Pepper was a black long haired moggy and only 10.

Im so sorry x just lost mine in last not even 2 weeks. It doesn’t feel real.
Ive cried and cried, laughed and then cried some more. If i go day with only getting upset a few times its a win.

It's shit and I feel for you. I had to have 2 of my cats PTS for unrelated reasons last week. One was 5, the other 14. Alizè (the 14yr old) had been my constant through so much crap in my life, he was my furry best friend. Pigeon (the 5yr old) was such a little character, she had a wonky head and often had a sticky up bit of fur on her back.
It's so hard when we have to have our beloved pets PTS, and go on without them. At least they are not in pain and knew so much love during their all too short lives.

Bob and pepper sound lovely, I'm sure you enjoyed many many times together, I know this may sound odd, but they're still together, crossed over with one never missing the other, I wish I could say something to ease your sorrow x

I am so sorry. It takes incredible strength to stop your friends from experiencing pain, and in doing so taking the pain on yourself.
What a huge loss you have suffered, I hope you have people who understand around who you can talk too.
