Would you be uncomfortable with this question on a rescue application form?

I was looking at the application form for a small animal rescue. They wanted a list of all the pet forums I or my family members are on and my usernames! This put me right off, and I won't be applying. Am I being too sensitive or would you find this overly intrusive too? I'm just not sure whether this is normal nowadays in the rescue world.

Can’t you just say you aren’t on any forums. Seems silly not to apply just because of that question, I bet they don’t even check. What are they hoping to find Confused

Are you wanting to rescue a pet, or work for them?
Either way I have never heard of anybody being asked for a username....and asking about your family members too?! Confused
I am not on any pet forums so it wouldn't affect me but I would probably say I wasn't on any. (Or go elsewhere).

It was to rescue a pet. Of course they would want to vet employees more closely.

I've decided to go with another rescue that only wants a photo of my cage and details of my past experience. If this rescue was the only option I would think of something to get round that question.

They also wanted information on where in the house the cage would be, the bedding in it, the food used, details of the toys inside the cage, how often the animals would be played with, what I would do if the animals fought, if one died, if one got ill, if I moved house, if I had to go away at short notice, details of holiday care arrangements, details of my vet's experience with small rodents, details of the origins of my other pets. I found it exhausting.

Apart from the usernames I wouldn’t see the other questions as a barrier to applying at all. I’m glad they seriously check out prospective homes. It’s the least I’d want to check if I was rehoming my dog.
