Cat won't stay in

I got a new kitten after losing my cat 6 months ago my adult cat 4 year old doesn't want to come in to the house apart from eating it's only been 2 days but I get the feeling my older cat feels he doesn't fit in anymore

If the kitten has only been there two days then it was a bit quick to introduce them. The kitten needed to be kept away in one room for a while really. Can you try and rewind and keep the kitten separately for a bit?

I can try I live in a small flat but the meeting went better than I thought it would as the first time my older cat met the cat that died the cat attacked him I don't know if my older cat is reserved because this time it's a female
