Does anyone know anything about keeping short haired dogs outside in winter?

Is there any "official" guidance on this? Any snippets of info would be helpful.

Yes she had a few old jumpers/blankets.

TBH I would do it again if we had a dog. Not sure I like the idea of them sleeping in the house. Maybe just the way I was brought up.

TBH I don't get that Cece, with the exception of working dogs like Collies. But that's just because I see dogs as part of the family. It's not just the sleeping outside thing that disturbs me so much, although that upsets me as I know that Staffs feel the cold and they have no bedding in the kennel (even if they did, outside is not a place for a staff). It is the total and complete lack of awareness of a dog's needs - and breed specifically in this instance. It's astounding. I don't get why they want her.

I just watched the show "underdogs" (its on Catch up TV On demand thingy - Virgin media) Anyways, they gave a statistic that (methinks) 150 dogs put down each week. That's so sad!
