We will have out chocolate lab 14 years next week.
Hes an old boy who has always loved laying about and taking things easy.
At the start of this year we found out he had early kidney disease, problems with his larynx and an ear infection. He's been treated for all these things.
Although hes been slow to get up this last few years just 2 days ago it was an obvious struggle and today/yesterday we could barely get him up at all. His legs are quite shaky and seems to be in no obvious pain.. he just cant make it up unless hes assisted, he can walk if he was to but cant get himself into his dog house.
Is this just a temporary lapse? Is it not strange for this to have happened so rapidly?
Waiting on a call back from the vets but they're extremely busy.
Is it time? We'd love love love to keep him going but not if its unfair to him.
