My collie is 13. She's on galliprant for stiffness and has been for a couple of months. She recently had a water infection that took three rounds of antibiotics to cure. She has cataracts and the vet said she believes she's largely deaf. Her bladder scans were inconclusive on if there might be anything in there.
She was doing better but over the last couple of days I've noticed she seems to forget she's had her dinner and asks for it in her way a few more times over the evening. She's also barked hard twice at the door when nobody is anywhere near. I've praised her excellent guarding skills regardless.
But she's struggling a bit getting up and lying down. And she seems to keep bashing into things and has fallen a couple of times today.
If she is out she's very happy but tires fast.
I'm not sure the medicine is helping.
I'm in tears at the moment, I've split with my partner as well and I'm worried I'm letting the toll of that influence this and seeing doom where there might not be any.
When she's been to the vet they said she's eaten and had plenty to drink and is ok. But I'm seeing more at home and I'm scared
