PetPlan. Continuing cover saved us a fortune. They are nice to deal with too.

Bought by Many

Either of the two previous suggestions. Cannot think of anyone else I would recommend.

Highest level of cover you can afford.

Have put two claims over £1,000 in to Petplan and they paid them both quickly without any queries. Not the cheapest, but worth it to know that claiming from them won't be a nightmare.

I’m looking too- my dog is 7 and I haven’t bothered for a few years but after an expensive infection needing hospitalisation think it might be a good idea.
What all the quotes for lifetime policies don’t show is how much are they likely to go up each year?
Eg if they go up by say 50%+ each year I might as well continue to self-insure.
What’s animal friends like? It seems to give a lot to charity.

I use bought by many. Lifetime policy.

I claimed twice in the first year for a few hundred pounds each and my payment actually went down by a few pence Confused

Both claims were handled quickly and it was all online
