2 kittens for home - is it better from the same "cat mum" or it does not matter?

I was thinking about getting 2 females, thinking that perhaps females are more playful. If i get a female and a male from the same cat mum - would this be a problem?

You'd need to get them spayed/neutered as early as possible to avoid them making new kittens if you got a brother/sister pair. Other than that I see no issues.

I've had 4 sets of sibling cats - never any problem with them.

I have tended to find that boy cats are friendlier than girl cats though.

Should have specified - four sets of sibling kittens.
