Cat Not Eating - Gorging - Vomiting

Hi all,

Wondered whether anyone has any ideas what could be wrong with my cat. Got her from Cats Protection in January, approx 6 years old, no known medical conditions.
Around once every two weeks or so, she won't eat for a day, then gorges and immediately sicks it all back up. Any ideas what could be causing this? Is it simply that she doesn't like that type of food? She eats Whiskas fish selection tins as we think she is allergic to chicken. I think it might happen more often when she eats Whitebait but unsure yet, but she has eaten in rest of the tin happily for the two days previously. Could she really be allergic to whitebait but fine with salmon and trout?
She always has biscuits available to her, but she rarely eats them (we have tried different brands). Surely if she hated the wet food that much, she would just eat the biscuits?

Thanks

To be honest i don't really know the answer! My cat does this quite frequently but it's due to him being a little pig and scoffing up as much food as possible in a really quick time and it probably doesn't even touch the sides. Have you noticed a certain pattern to this? Does she eat really really fast? My advice would be that if she isn't eating for the day that isn't normal and might be worth checking out once this is over but apart from that if she is ok in herself then perhaps it's not as bad as you originally think? But then it could well be allergy related or a stomach issue.

I'm sorry i'm not the best at answering 🙊 hope this helps a little 😂
