My cat eats bees

Hi! Just wondered if anyone has experience of this. My very busy one year old cat eats 4 + bees per day. I know bees can be risky for cats but she seems fine so guessing she has a degree of immunity. Not sure if she will keep getting away with it or overdo it and eventually make herself ill. Any advice appreciated

I've got no advice to give but what a brave cat! My boy attempted to eat a wasp last week and got stung on the face, then went to lay in the neighbours garden to sulk for about 4 hours or so.. i don't think it's harmful as such but there will probably come a time where she gets stung!

Hopefully not though 🤞🏻

My last cat used to do that. Made a disgusting crunching sound.
She seemed ok with it but it was only an occasional one.

When mine were kittens they did it but now they don't. Learnt the hard way.

I guess the kitten instinct to hunt is just too strong.

One of mine does it and has always been fine. The other one did it, got stung and went into anaphylaxis. Took him to the vets and he is fine now but it was very scary. So I'd say it's probably ok unless they're allergic to bee stings like mine is but unfortunately you'll only find that out one way.

Mine eats bees and wasps, only once has had a reaction (swollen cheek for 24hrs), he's been fine all the other times, so not sure if that got him on the lip.

Mine got stung as a kitten. Panic! Vets told me to give him Benadryl. Cue a frantic race to Tesco and near tears when they didn’t have Benadryl. Some poor Tesco employee is still probably laughing at the memory of me, hysterical, asking if piriton was the same strength and would half a tablet kill my cat. Needless to say, it didn’t!

Haha! Will remember Benadryl just in case. Several years ago my old cat came in with swollen face from bee. I rang vet for advice and was told to take her in immediately if not sooner, as it was soooooooo dangerous! Guessing he was just topping up his holiday fund now i have this little madam. Thanks Guys!

Mine eats bees and wasps and flies and spiders.

The crunching sound of the bees is disturbing

Sounds normal.
