Third dog...? Thinking of getting a dachshund...?

Hi !!! We have 2 dogs already, but reallllllly want a third. Anyone have any advice? I'm worried about upsetting the 2 we have (a lurcher and a terrier type thingy) they are both laid back, very lovely , and i'm worried a third will upset their "pack".
I would love a small dog, like a dachshund, and apparently there is a rescue centre...? Anyone have any ideas.?

We have 5 Chihuahuas, they all want some attention all the time.We started with 2.I would like to have 3, no more.But can`t get rid of any of these.They are so smart,each has its own personality.They are good watch dogs,I like the Min-Pins too.They look a lot like Chihuahuas.

We had a full sized dachshund.

Most of the ones we have known have had a very jealous streak, so need to check that out. None of them have been good with other animals (though have been good with children).

Also they have a lot of back problems - so you would need pet insurance or a lot of money in case.

They are lovely animals though.

AZ I have three chihuahuas and two in Rainbow bridge)...........Purple duck, how are the other 2 around other dogs, why not go to the rescue with them and see how they react?
