Can't be any prectail help but wante dot let you know that one of our birds is called Gobby after he screeched the whole way down the M4 for 50 miles when we brought him home!
Only way to shut him up noiw is to give him a shower with teh water spray, but I don't think that woudl work for a kitten

A very, very noisy lovebird. We have 9 of them at the moment but he makes more noise than the rest put together!

I'd love a cat but DH doesn't like them and we don't have room for a dog so birds it is!

i would love a bird, preferably a parrot but with 4 cats the poor thing wouldnt stand a chance lol

Cats LOVE my birds, they live in 3 big cages in our front room and one day DH left the back door open while he was doing something, and came in to one of the neighbours cats sitting on the floor in front of the cage licking it's chops!

We have a friend with a big golden retriever and he is not interested at all though so they work okay with dogs. When I was little I had a cockatiel and he used to ride around on my dogs back>
