as ive got a 15m old small tortoise shell white female cat (she was spayed in feb 07). I came back from camping last thurs as went for 6 days, she was fed twice by my MIL but wasnt let out for the whole time. (She is more of a house cat as i do have to throw her out at times) but weve noticed that my cat is looking fat as when she sits her front paws are spread wide open - just like a chunker!

Is this right?

She's probably been moping around indoors wondering where you are - especially as the weather has been so foul! If her behaviour is normal I wouldn't worry - just keep an eye on her diet so she doesn't gain more excess weight.
