Friends of ours have just bought a chocolate Labrador puppy who is GORGEOUS and 9 weeks old. He works full time commuting to London and she works part time. They have a puppy crate and contend they have sorted out a dog sitter/walker who can pop in or take puppy for short walks once he's vaccinated. Once I got past the stars in my eyes I wondered how ppl really do it with puppies. Surely leaving a 9 week old puppy at home while you work all day is unkind at best cruel at worst? Isn't it in fact like leaving a toddler on their own? I'm not suggesting it's cruel leaving older more established dogs at home with walkers in the day but a puppy? Really? However I hear lots of ppl do it and I'd be interested in hearing how that works out in reality - toilet training, noise, separation anxiety etc.,
Thoughts?
