My cat hates fireworks she is currently hiding . I keep her indoors as soon as it's dark and she will go out later when all finished . My neighbour has a lovely little cat but always outdoors nothing wrong with that , cat seams well looked after wears a flea collar and a tag with name on . Twice I've opened the door this evening and this cat has ran into my house I've had to pick her/him up and put outside . I think must be scared I'd let him/ her in but my cat hates others cats and my cat is much bigger so I'd fear for the cat .
To think it's only responsible to keep your cat in during fireworks? I feel bad for the poor cat outside but my dh tells me it's not my responsibility and my cat will go mental for another cat in the house especially that she's so stressed with all the noise .

Ideally yes but some cats go crazy to get out and just won't be kept in. Also not all cats are scared of fireworks, mine doesn't mind them at all, I do keep her in for safety though.

Yes our cat is desperate to go out but we are keeping him in as soon as it is dark at the moment.

I suppose if cats insist then not much you can do . Mine is frightened and this other cat is too I think , perhaps the owner hasn't thought or isn't home yet .
